Conserve Our Water edits
Water is the lifeblood of metro Atlanta. Since the adoption of the first Metro Water District Water Supply and Conservation Management Plans, water use has dropped by more than 10 percent despite a one million increase in population. As a result of these efforts, the region is projected to use 25 percent less water than was estimated as recently as 2009.
Supply and conservation are two sides of the same coin–both are critical for meeting future water demand and securing the economic, environmental and social vitality of our region.
