Georgia Water Virtual Learning Journey
Discover where Georgia’s water comes from, how wastewater is treated, impacts of weather events, how to conserve and protect water resources, career opportunities in the water industry, and so much more. Designed for students in grades 3-8 and aligned to the Georgia Standards of Excellence, this virtual learning journey, produced in partnership with Georgia Public Broadcasting, presents key concepts through engaging videos, virtual reality, interactive maps and graphics, photo galleries, and informative text.

Chattahoochee River
Park Ranger Jerry Hightower explains the importance of the Chattahoochee River in supplying freshwater to Georgia residents and the purpose of the Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area in metro Atlanta.
What is Stormwater?
We visit Clayton County Water Authority in metro Atlanta to learn how stormwater is managed and redirected to freshwater sources like creeks and streams. We also see how vacuum trucks clear clogged storm drains to help prevent flooding.

Take a tour of Johns Creek Environmental Campus, a state-of-the-art wastewater treatment facility. See how wastewater is treated and put back into the Chattahoochee River, the source of drinking water for many in metro Atlanta.

How Kids Can Protect Water Sources
