2025 Activities & Progress Report

In 2025, the Metropolitan North Georgia Water Planning District (the District) worked with regional utilities and local governments to implement the 2022 Water Resources Management Plan. The plan provides our communities with valuable guidance, tools, and resources to build on our legacy of smart planning to support water efficiency and stewardship. For almost 25 years, our communities’ united focus on water conservation and efficiency has helped reduce per capita water use in our region by more than 30 percent, even with population increases.
