What: The Metro Water District and the Chattahoochee Nature Center partner together each year to make the Water Drop Dash a fun and family-friendly way to learn about the importance of water conservation to our region.

As many as 1,000 runners are expected to participate in the 2023 Water Drop Dash that will serve as a closing event for the annual week-long mobilization effort, Fix a Leak Week, which is a national campaign of the Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) WaterSense program.  To inspire water conservation efforts, WaterSense partners across the U.S. plan Fix a Leak Week events to encourage residents to find and fix leaks inside and outside of their homes.

Since 2000, per capita water use in the metro Atlanta region has dropped by more than 30 percent. This could not be achieved without the help of individuals across our region taking simple steps like fixing leaks and replacing outdated toilets and faucets with WaterSense-labeled products. We can all do our part to save water. Every drop counts!
